Recently, the national standard GB/T 38780-2020 "Bamboo Mat", which was drafted by enterprises in Anji County, Zhejiang Province and Chunlong Bamboo Art in Hunan Province, was officially released and will be implemented from November 1, 2020. Bamboo mat" national standard proposed by the State Forestry and Grassland Administration, Zhejiang Forest Products Quality Inspection Station, Zhejiang Forestry Research Institute in conjunction with Anji County Bamboo Industry Association and Chunlong Bamboo Arts a total of nine mat key enterprises jointly drafted.

This standard applies to bamboo mat for bed, bamboo mat for cushion, bamboo mat for pillow and bamboo mat for carpet made of bamboo silk, bamboo gabions and bamboo blocks as the main constituent units, and stipulates the classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of bamboo mat.

The drafting and formulation of the national standard of "Bamboo Mat" is based on the bamboo mat industry and oriented by the actual needs of the industry, which will play a positive and effective role in further improving and regulating the quality of domestic bamboo mat products and market order, unifying the quality inspection basis of products and protecting the rights and interests of consumers. The release of this standard marks a step forward in the standardization of the domestic bamboo mat industry.
